Where is Plunge Interactive located?
Plunge Interactive headquarters and production center is located in the city of Lleida, in the area of influence of Barcelona (Spain). We also have sales representatives in Hamburg (Germany) and London (UK) that are focused on facilitate communication with clients.
What are the advantages of outsourcing video game production to Spain compared to other countries? And Lleida in particular?
Compared to other countries Spain has an excellent education system with internationally recognized universities and professionals, a democratic and stable government and a good network of infrastructures. All these advantages are available in combination with affordable costs that only Spain can offer in Europe. Being that said, Spain hosts very important companies in the industry such as Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, King.com, Social Point, Gameloft, and also holds a huge network of small indie studios that provide good, experienced, skilled and creative talent to bigger companies such as Plunge Interactive.
Lleida in particular has a living and operational cost more affordable compared to other Spanish cities like Madrid or Barcelona, that makes Lleida the perfect location for a combination of quality and affordable costs. We are also very close to two International airports, and only 1hr far from Barcelona and 2hrs far from Madrid. See the facilities section for more information.
When was Plunge Interactive created?
Plunge Interactive was founded by a team of 1 entrepreneur and 3 small investors in February 2011. Today we have a team that exceeds 15 people and an accumulated experience of dozens of projects and platforms covering iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8, PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, PS3, PSVita, Xbox 360, WiiU and Nintendo 3DS. What is your approach to IP ownership?
Plunge Interactive is a service provider. Every material that is provided to us and everything that is provided by us in return is the client’s property, including graphic assets, code, documentation, etc. Our legal setup ensures that we have a continous and traceable IP flow from individuals working on a project to clients. Plunge Interactive does not subcontract work. All the work is done under contract by full-time employees of Plunge Interactive.
What is your service Model?
There are 2 options:
(a) When the project is clearly defined in scope and time, we propose a Project model. Under this model, we work together prior to the project to formulate a detailed project plan based on your needs. We then assemble a team for a limited period of time with a Project Lead responsible for the quality and timing of deliveries.
(b) When our client requires an extension of its team with flexibility in the scope of tasks, a retainer model may be more suitable. Under this model, a team will be put together upon your request. Its tasks can be defined and modified on the go, just as you would with an internal team. You will have the guarantee that the resources will be retained for you over the long term.
