Cross platform game development - Plunge Interactive

Cross platform game development

We in Plunge Interactive are committed to provide the better games at a reasonable cost. This today means that we need to be as productive as possible.

Hopefully the technology allows us to create cross-platform games. This means that we have to write a game once, and then it can run on multiple platforms.

We have recently published a very simple game that is an example of this. The game is called Pixel Colors and can be downloaded for all these platforms:

The game doesn’t pretend to be a blockbuster, is more a technology test. It has been made using the Cocos2d-x engine.  Cocos2d-X is an open source game engine framework based on Cocos2d-iPhone, which consists of expanding supported platforms, with multiple choice of programming languages thats shares the same API structure. The supported platforms are:
  • iOS
  • Android
  • Windows 8
  • BlackBerry QNX
  • Bada
  • Marmalade
  • Win 32
  • Linux
